Data Visualization via Web Pages & Browsers
Although everyone is familiar with browsers and the internet, the
true power of hypertext markup language and related technology is not
fully appreciated.
Although PC programs like Microsoft Excel or Word are ubiquitous,
it is not well known that these files can be viewed with an ordinary
browser - no special software is required.
The technology enables the creation of relationships among visual
objects with files, other images, or data records. Thus it is useful
for finding information in a large system when the situation is relatively
static or not highly complex.
For example, a photo organization chart can be easily developed that
can be viewed on a local PC or LAN or even a company intranet. Or a
real estate development can be mapped and viewed with links to residents,
lot features, or even county tax records.
